RB Excited To Be Back

Brandon Minor was injured on just his second carry of his senior season. The talented running back was forced to miss several games because of a hip flexor. He returned to action last Friday and scored three touchdowns.

"It felt good to get out there again," Minor said. "I'm still not where I wanna be though. It may take a couple more hits to finally get into the flow of things to where I was before the injury. I feel great though. I'm ready."

Brandon Minor, 6-0 and 215 pounds, has been enjoying the recruiting process so far this year.

"Sometimes all the calls can be a bit too much but mostly, I've been having fun with it," he said. "My visit (to Tennessee) went good and now I'm looking forward to the ones coming up."

Those visits are scheduled to be to Michigan (Dec 9), Miami (Dec 16), and Virginia Tech (Jan 10).

"I'm really wide open still," he said. "There are positives about each of the schools I'm looking at. I liked it at Tennessee. Michigan was my favorite team growing up. They have a lot of tradition too. Virginia Tech is close to home and they've been on me hard and have really built a nice program. I've always been interested in Miami. They produce a lot of great backs."

Minor spoke more about the Hurricanes and the season they're currently having.

"The thing with Miami is they always have good running backs," he said. "Look at the guys who have played there. The good weather, all that is pretty nice. I'm really looking forward to checking them out. They got off to a tough start against Florida State but they're right back in the race. They're gonna need to run the ball good against Virginia Tech (a game Minor plans to attend)."
