At 5-foot-10 and 185 pounds, Jacksonville (Fla) Mandarin tailback Brian Dennison is coming off an outstanding junior season in which he had 2,565 all-purpose yards and 31 total touchdowns.
Dennison, who says he's been clocked with 4.39 speed, is already garnering plenty of recruiting attention this month. Dennison claims scholarship offers from Syracuse, Florida, Georgia, and Wisconsin. However, on a questionnaire, Dennison indicated his two early favorites are Florida State and Miami, followed by South Carolina, LSU, and Georgia. A UM coach stopped by the school earlier this month.
Dennison, who also competes in basketball and track, is one of the players I plan on watching this week. He and teammate Marcus Thomas are two of the most talked-about prospects in north Florida this year, so I can't wait to see them both in person to see how they compare to other top prospects at their positions.
