"I had a great visit," Wesley said. "When I had committed, I had been on three other visits but had not been to Miami yet. This visit confirmed everything I was feeling towards them."
The talented defensive end, who stands 6-foot-3 and 230 pounds, spent a lot of time with UM coaches and players.
"The players were great," he said. "Lance Leggett showed me around. The players are real easy to get along with and I think we have a lot in common. The coaches are real focused on getting Miami back on top and they're real down to earth and I enjoyed meeting all of them."
Steven Wesley, a full academic qualifier, had previously made visits to Ohio State, Ole Miss, and Alabama.
"I really liked Alabama because of how well I thought I fit in," he said. "But Miami is where I feel most comfortable. I feel like that's a place where I can be very successful and happy at the same time."
Wesley has cancelled his last visit, which was scheduled to Florida for late January.
