It was not the personal performance he expected, but he has not received the opportunities to put up large numbers this year.
Leggett talked about his foot he hurt in the off-season and the degree in which it bothered during the season.
"It has bothered me a little bit," Lance said. "But I still went out there and played so I can't use it as an excuse. If you are injured then you shouldn't go out and play."
Regardless of how the season has gone Leggett has a chance to end it on a strong note.
"I am excited and ready for it because they are a good defense," Leggett said.
With Ryan Moore suspended Leggett is expected to start at split end opposite of Sinorice Moss.
Leggett knows Moore is still ready and willing to help his teammates any way he can.
"I know if I call Ryan right now he will tell me what I should do in the game," Leggett said.
The 6-foot-3, 185-pound receiver still has his eyes on his touchdown
And a Hurricane victory.
