Excellent All-Around Visit

Matt Bosher made a summer commitment to the University of Miami and despite efforts from other programs to change his mind, he remains strongly in the Hurricane camp.

"I'm totally committed and have been with Miami since the beginning," Bosher said. "Florida tried pushing but I told them I never considered changing my commitment from Miami."

Bosher took his recruiting visit to UM over the weekend and came away very impressed.

"It went really, really well," he said. "I just got home actually. We had a lot of fun. There were a lot of guys doing their visit and everyone seemed to enjoy it. I think they'll have good success with this group."

The talented kicker spoke more about what he liked about the visit.

"I liked everything about it," he said. "I liked the area, the coaches, the players, everything was very appealing to me. I couldn't find any negatives about it."

Bosher knows all about the depth chart and he's already looking forward to getting a chance to compete.

"Jon Peattie is a senior next year," he said. "He's the only scholarship kicker they have right now. Brian Monroe will be a senior too. I'm going in there to compete though. I may not get the job my first year but I sure am going to try."

The Jupiter High standout finished his senior season 7-for-10 on field goals with a long of 52 yards. He hit 85-percent of his kickoffs into the endzone and averaged over 42 yards per punt.

"I didn't kick any game-winners at the last second," he said. "I did have one that ended up being the difference in a 5-3 game. It was just before halftime and it ended up being the difference. I want a game-winning opportunity in the final seconds, though -- people calling timeouts at stuff. I want one."
