UM Watching Local WR

Travaris Cadet has started spring football and the Miami Central star quarterback believes things look good.

"We were kept out of the playoffs last year so it's time to start working on getting back to that level," Cadet said. "Everyone around here seems pretty excited to be back into it."

Cadet is one of the top overall prospects in Miami Dade County this year. Although he plays quarterback for the Rockets, many believe he'll play receiver in college.

"I went up to the Scout Combine in Atlanta as a quarterback," he said. "I'll be going to the one at FAU on the 13th and work out as a receiver. I want to be able to do both."

Travaris Cadet, who was first offered by Virginia Tech as a quarterback, said two others have come through with offers.

"Tennessee offered me as a quarterback and Florida just offered me," he said. "They're recruiting me as an athlete. UM is coming out later this month to watch practice. Tennessee called me earlier this week. Florida texted me."
