DB Likes Coach Olson

Derrick Hallman had an impressive day at the Scout.com All-American Combine in Jacksonville a couple months ago. Now that spring football has started, he provided an update on the latest.

"Stanford came and visited our school," Hallman said. "I thought they had offered a couple months ago on the phone to my coach but he said they'll probably be sending it in the next week to week and a half."

Stanford's not the only school that's showing interest in the talented defensive back right now.

"UCF got my highlight tape and loved it," he said. "Florida also called and said they'll be keeping an eye on me."

The Fort Pierce Central standout, 6-feet and 200 pounds, said he still favors Miami.

"I talked to Coach Olson," he said. "He spent 11 years in the NFL and seems like a great coach. Me and my cousin (Noel Devine) are trying to get out to their camp this summer."
