Homestead LB Likes UM

Maurice Harris showed flashes of excellence as a sophomore at Homestead H.S. However, he moved to Georgia as a junior to live with his mom and he didn't excel too much on the field. He's back at Homestead for his senior year.

"I'm loving it, being back," Harris said. "We're already practicing and everything and I'm having a lot of fun out here. The team's looking real good and I think I'm doing pretty good at middle linebacker."

Maurice Harris, 6-foot-1 and 195 pounds, is one of the most athletically gifted players around. He has all the tools to have a strong senior season.

"A lot of coaches have been coming out to watch practice," he said. "It's like every single day. I got my first offer recently -- from North Carolina State. Them and Auburn have been calling me. UM's showing interest. My top schools are the same -- UM, Florida State, Florida, and NC State."

Harris plans on attending Saturday's All-American Combine at FAU.
