The talented defensive end tested very well. At 6-foot-4 and 231 pounds, Sheard ran a 4.63/40, 7.31/3-cone drill, jumped 35 inches, and broad jumped 9-6.
"I'm just out here having fun," Sheard said. "I wanted to come out and show you guys what I'm capable of. There were some decent defensive linemen out here too."
Jabaal Sheard picked up his first scholarship offer last week and believes he's closing in on a few more.
"South Carolina came in here last week and offered me," he said. "They said they're looking for defensive ends and I'm one of the guys they like. FIU also offered me. Georgia came in and seems real interested too. They're talking about offering. A coach from Miami came too but they haven't offered yet."
Sheard lists Miami, Florida, FIU, South Carolina, and Georgia as his current favorites.
