Action Heats Up For DL

Adewale Ojomo entered Saturday's All-American Combine with some nice offers. Among them, he says, was one from the hometown Hurricanes. Well, the standout defender did nothing on Saturday to cause any questions about his ability.

"I thought I had a decent camp," Ojomo said. "I know I can run faster and jump higher than that. It's OK, though. I had a good time and there was a lot of good competition out there."

Adewale Ojomo, 6-foot-3 and 211 pounds, ran a 4.79/40, jumped 33+ on the vert, and did 9-6 on the broad jump.

"I've gotten 4.6 before," he said. "It was OK. I did 41 before on the vert when you have something to reach for. We jumped on a mat and it's not the same."

The Hialeah standout recently added another big offer to his resume.

"Georgia offered the other day," he said. "Coach Coker from Miami came by the school last week. I still like Miami and Florida and also Georgia and some others. Now I'm getting ready for my spring game."
