Van Dyke on Recruiting

DeMarcus Van Dyke, who was one of the stars of the Scout.com All-American Combine in Jacksonville back in March, has over a dozen offers now. The talented cornerback from Miami Pace now has offers from schools all over the country.

"It's really taken off here in May," Van Dyke said. "You said it would and it has. Just think about it, a month ago my only offer was from FIU."

He's still getting offers almost daily.

"South Carolina offered me today (Tuesday)," he said. "Michigan called today to talk to me. It's been crazy."

DeMarcus Van Dyke, 6-foot-1 and 165 pounds, doesn't have any summer camp plans, as he hopes to rest up.

"I'm resting my hamstring to make sure it's 100-percent for the start of the season," he said. "I'm not really planning on doing any camps anytime soon."

There have been rumblings that Van Dyke may announce his college decision in June. He says that's just a rumor.

"I don't know where that came from," he said. "I wanna take all my visits and I wanna be sure that whatever school I pick is the best one. It still looks good for Florida and Miami right now. I talk to both of them a lot. I talk to Coach Shannon on a daily basis."
