Super OL Gets UM Offer

This talented offensive line prospect was extremely impressive at the University of Miami summer camp last month. After returning from another camp earlier this week, he found a scholarship offer from UM waiting for him.

Pompano Beach (Fla.) Ely standout offensive lineman has been dreaming to play at the University of Miami since he was small. The talented lineman got one step closer to fulfilling that dream recently.

"Miami sent me an offer in the mail," Bain told me. "They said they really liked me at the camp and wanted me to play at their school. I was real excited because that's the one I was hoping for."

Bain, however, isn't quite ready to rush into any decisions.

"I want to take my visits and see what else is out there," he said. "I want to see the country and then I'll make my decision after some visits."

Bain has been busy this summer. First, it was UM's camp and then it was off to Florida State.

"I actually pulled my hamstring just before the camp," he said. "I just wanted to learn some new things and pick up on some things that can help me out. I wanted to add some things to my game for this season. Florida State was nice and they told me they'll be sending me a scholarship offer."

Bain talked about his list of current favorites.

"Miami's still up there," he said. "But I also like Florida State a lot too. Those are my top two, and Stanford would be No. 3."

At 6-foot-3 ½ and 330 pounds, Bain carries a 3.8 GPA and scored a 1010 on the SAT.
