"I've been mainly just working out here and getting ready for the season," Hankerson said. "I did go up to Florida on Friday."
The talented receiver talked about his experience at Florida's Friday Night Lights Camp.
"I liked everything about it," he said. "It was a good workout and there was some good competition up there."
Leonard Hankerson, 6-foot-2 and 205 pounds, said he also took a visit to Miami about a month ago.
"I went to UM on June 15th," he said. "It was me, Major Wright, and Marvin Austin from Washington DC. We just watched tape, walked around the campus, talked with the coaches, and hung out. It was fun."
It was a chance for Hankerson to spend some time with UM receivers coach Marquis Mosley.
"I like him," he said. "He's the type of coach who makes you work hard. He'll push you."
The standout pass catcher was asked about the latest with his list of favorites.
"I don't have any visits set yet but I like Miami, Florida, Ohio State, Michigan, and Georgia," he said. "Those are the ones I'm still considering."
When he denied listing a leader, Hankerson was asked what factors will be important in his decision.
"Playing time, a big conference, and the coaching staff," he said. "I don't wanna wait around. I wanna play."
Hankerson, who carries a 2.4 GPA and scored a 1000 on the SAT, was also asked about his thoughts on Austin.
"He liked it a lot and I think he'll end up going to Miami," he said.
