The 6-foot-7 and 330 pound, Lehigh (Fla.) Lehigh Acres standout offensive lineman Mario Henderson talks about the camp.
"It went really well for me," Henderson said. "The coaching was real good up there, even though Coach Kehoe was unable to make it. I learned a lot about my pass blocking technique, how to use my hands better, and how to better make initial contact."
The talented offensive lineman said one other player caught his eye during the camp.
"Derrick Morse from Estero was there and he looked really good," he said.
Henderson has been busy working out with his fellow linemen this summer. "We've been running a lot this summer," he said. "We go out into an open parking lot and do a lot of high knees, and a lot of different footwork drills on the lines and cones."
Henderson has recently picked up a few more written scholarship offers. "In addition to Clemson, I now have them from Pittsburgh and Louisville. Pittsburgh sounds like a nice school and I have a friend that went there and he said it was real nice."
However, Henderson still has a clear favorite. "UM's still on top, of course," he said. "They're still my dream school and that's where I would go if they offered me."
"My top five would be Miami, Florida, Florida State, Clemson, and Pittsburgh. Right now, I'm just trying to focus on helping our team get better because my biggest goal this season is helping our team win."
