Practice Report: Sept. 12

CORAL GABLES, Fla. - The Hurricanes begin preparation for Louisville.

"We have the opportunity to play an outstanding football team in the University of Louisville. Of course, it's our first road game, so it's going to be a big test for our football team to play an outstanding offensive team."

• OL Reggie Youngblood is questionable for Louisville. He had his cast off today, but did not practice.

• OL Jason Fox will start at left tackle if Youngblood is unable to start.

• OL Chris Rutledge would start at right tackle.

• RB Charlie Jones remains the starter. Coker said: "I don't think Charlie Jones has done anything not to start. Charlie's healthy, so through the week Charlie will be the starter. He and Javarris James will certainly be involved if they're healthy."

• WR Darnell Jenkins leads the team with 10 catches. He is on pace for a 65-catch season.

• LB James Bryant will play against Louisville, but WR Rashaun Jones is unlikely to be cleared due to academic issues.
