Practice Update - DB's Fine

Defensive backs Antrel Rolle, Al Marshall and Kelly Jennings all needed assistance getting off the field after practice Saturday afternoon. Rolle leaned on an assistant trainer as he limped off the field. Marshall and Jennings were taken off the field on the back of a golf cart.

"I don't know their status," said Coker after practice. "We'll get them checked out and hopefully it's not something really serious."

UM spokesperson Mark Pray said earlier tonight that all ‘three had cramps'.

Coker also said the ‘defense really chased the ball' and that tailbacks Willis McGahee and Jason Geathers ‘really look good there'. Geathers, who played as a reserve tailback in 2000, has been elevated to back-up because Jarrett Payton is still sidelined with back spasms. Projected starter Frank Gore isn't expected back until at least October after reconstructive surgery on his right knee ... Roscoe Parrish drew groans from the crowd at practice with several spectacular catches ... Andre Johnson, who dropped two passes earlier, made a reception and proceeded to the endzone after eluding Jennings.
