Practice News & Notes: Nov. 1

News and notes around the football team as they prepare for #23 Virginia Tech.

OFFENSIVE NOTES

• QB Kyle Wright was sacked six times against Georgia Tech. Coker said three were on the offensive line, one on the running backs, and the other two were "on Kyle or were coverage sacks". Coker added: "They are going to cover some, but you have to make sure the others are protected."

• Coker said Virginia Tech only blitzes 23 percent of the time. Click here to listen to audio

• WR Lance Leggett was limited in Wednesday's practice with a knee injury. He hurt his knee in Saturday's loss to Georgia Tech, but is expected to play against Virginia Tech.

• OL Alex Pou has a right knee sprain and is questionable for Saturday's game.

DEFENSIVE NOTES

• DT Kareem Brown said the Hurricanes aren't impressed with Virginia Tech RB Branden Ore's back-to-back 200-yard games. Brown said: "That doesn't matter because he didn't play us and our caliber of players. He has to prove it to us that he can get it on us."

OTHER NOTES

• Coker said the team is very closing to putting everything together although it appears the team is farther and farther from where they need to be. "We have done some good things, but not enough good things to win," Coker said.
