Baseball Fall Practice News & Notes: Nov. 15

The players will be off Thursday and Friday as they prepare for the scout day this Saturday.

Wednesday, November 15th

Players are scheduled to run the 60-yard dash at 10 A.M. while the scrimmage is scheduled to begin at 11 A.M. The scrimmage will run 10 innings long with 15 pitchers scheduled to throw.

SS Ryan Jackson: 1-for-2, 1 home run, 2 RBI, 1 run

C Ben Vazquez: 1-for-1, 1 run

C Jason Hagerty: 1-for-1, 1 triple

Pitching Performances

RHP David Gutierrez: 2 IP, 0 runs allowed, 2 Hits

RHP Michael Sanders: 2 IP, 2 runs allowed, 3 hits, 1 walk

News and Notes



• Freshman SS Ryan Jackson hit his first home run of the fall, pulling the ball over the left field wall.

• OF Nick Freitas made two nice catches in centerfield. On one catch, Freitas made a catch while running into the wall in deep centerfield. Freitas was not injured on the play.

• OF Kevin Diego also had a nice defensive play, making a tough sliding catch in left field.

• C Jason Hagerty has been hitting the ball extremely well as of late. Hagerty, a freshman, is batting .429 in the last five practices.
