"We won again last week," Hankerson said. "I had three catches for 123 yards and one touchdown. We play Manatee this week. If we win, we're going back to the state championship game."
Hankerson, 6-foot-2 and 195 pounds, was asked for the latest on the recruiting process. He only talked about one school.
"Well, two UM coaches came to my house yesterday," he said. "It was Coach Mosley and Coach Walton. They were just telling me what's going on right now. They were telling me how many starters are coming back next year and how many receivers they'll have."
The talented receiver said he was surprised when UM fired Larry Coker last week.
"I was surprised," he said. "Randy Shannon becoming head coach is what I'm looking forward to. He's a great coach and he knows what he's doing. I don't think they know what's going on yet, though."
Hankerson also plans on visiting an SEC school.
"I'll probably visit South Carolina and Ohio State's still in it too," he said.
