"We finished our season at 11-2," Tubbs said. "It was a good year. I don't know how many yards I had but I had 15 touchdowns on the season."
Tubbs, 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds, plays on both sides of the ball and also plays basketball and runs track. On the recruiting front, things have started picking up lately.
"I'm trying to set up a visit to Miami," he said. "I'm gonna go down there for a visit. The coach (Pannunzio) came to the school last week and talked to me. He's supposed to be coming back next week."
The talented receiver said the Hurricanes have not yet offered, however.
"He said they're waiting on my ACT scores," he said. "I have a 16 and need to get a little higher. Mississippi State is also real interested and I think they might offer."
Tubbs spoke about each of the two schools.
"Mississippi State is close to home but that doesnt matter too much," he said. "I like Miami. It would be great if I could go there. They're one of the top teams to me."
