How is the knee heading into the season?
It feels 100% now, I've been working hard all off-season on it.

Any specific exercises or drills you've worked on to improve in the off-season?
No specifics really, just worked on quickness and explosion to increase my speed.

Talk about the possibility of repeating this year.
We feel we have a chance to repeat. We've worked harder than ever and I think that is making the team better than we were last year.

What are some personal goals you have for this year?
People really haven't seen me that much of me yet. I want to prove I'm a good player and do more this year. I'd like to be All-American as an end and have us win the championship again.

Thoughts overall on the season?
I think it's going to be real fun. We have a chance to have fun out there on the field and off the field. We just want to take it to Arizona!

Does replacing the entire secondary place an added burden on you and the front seven?
The defensive line and everyone else including Vilma and D.J. need to step up. If we handle our jobs and do what we need to do, they'll be fine back there.

Who has impressed you the most entering this season?
Kelly Jennings, Roscoe Parrish and D.J. [Williams] are three. D.J. is going to impress a lot of people this year.

What has been the highlight for you thus far as a ‘Cane?
My favorite game was the Penn State game as it was my first. I was real hungry, in a zone. The fumble recovery against Pitt was nice but also I was very happy for Jerome [McDougle - roommate] when he had the interception against Washington and took it to the house. Probably my favorite moment was the Rose Bowl when the jets flew over. Man they amped me up, got me so motivated. What a wonderful game.

What games are you most looking forward to this year?
Tennessee, Florida and Florida State are the big ones. I'm also looking forward to Syracuse and Virginia Tech as I have old teammates from high school playing for them. Two at Syracuse and one at Virginia Tech.

What are you majoring in?
Business Management.

Plans after college?
The NFL is a goal but I also want to own my own business. I've always wanted to have my own soul food restaurant.

What do you do in your free time?
Just relax and play some video games and maybe go shopping and to the movies. Pretty much just chill.
