Brown Accepts Invite to Senior Bowl

Senior DT Kareem Brown has accepted an invitation to the Senior Bowl.

The 2007 Senior Bowl will be played at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama on January 27.

The prestigious senior all-star game features some of the top NFL draft prospects in the country.

Kareem Brown hopes to have an impressive game to vault his status for the draft.

"I am very excited," said Brown, a second-team All-ACC selection. "The top people get chosen and it is a time to showcase your talent."

Brown leads all defensive tackles in the country with 8.5 sacks.

"I feel that if I am not the most talented defensive tackles in the country, then I am one of them," he said.

Brown received a call from the committee before the Virginia Tech game and was told to finish strong to assure himself a spot in the game.

Miami senior safety Brandon Meriweather is also expected to participate in the Senior Bowl.
