Coach: Sleeper WR Has Big Future

Daniel Adderley, a sleeper wide receiver prospect from South Carolina, has inked with the Hurricanes.

Daniel Adderley wasn't real heavily recruited this year. In fact, the Greenville (S.C.) Southside Christian standout didn't even have any other Division 1 offers.

At 6-foot-6 and 215 pounds, Adderley flew under the recruiting radar for most of the year. That was despite catching 33 balls for 786 yards and seven touchdowns as a junior. An collarbone injury ended his senior season after just three games and he still caught 27 passes for over 400 yards and three touchdowns.

"He's a big time sleeper," head coach Dexter Davis said. "I've been around some receivers who ended up in the NFL and I think Daniel's got a big upside. I think he was one of the best receivers in the state this year. He's very raw and he's only going to get better. We sent out his tape to Miami during the season and they came up and offered him during a meeting."

Marquis Mosley recruited Adderley, who visited the school in late January.
