Out-of-state OL Has UM in Top 5

The last time I spoke to Princeton (N.J.) The Hun School standout offensive lineman Jeff Zuttah, he had gotten positive feedback from Miami's coaches after he sent his tape down to Coral Gables. The talented lineman, who opens his season on Sept 14, said things continue to go pretty well on the recruiting front.

"I have about 15 or so offers now," Zuttah said. "Everything's going pretty well...and pretty busy. I've gotten a lot of calls and I've also missed some. I've talked to Notre Dame, BC, Penn State, Duke, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and a few others."

The talented offensive lineman, who will also play defensive tackle this season at 6-4 and 280, said he's still pretty wide open.

"I still haven't really narrowed things down yet," he said. "I'm in the process of that right now because I'm going to start setting up some visits. The biggest thing for me is the academic situation."

Zuttah said he's considering all of the schools mentioned above and several others. He talked about the Hurricanes.

"We've heard some really good things from them," he said. "I sent them my tape and the offensive line coach said he liked it. Miami's definitely one of the schools I'm looking at. They're in the top five and I think if I have a strong season, they'll probably end up offering me."

Some of the schools that have offered Zuttah are Notre Dame, Michigan State, Penn State, and Maryland along with 11 others.
