Super RB Will be at Swamp Saturday

At 6-feet and 200 pounds, Georgia's Kregg Lumpkin is widely considered one of the nation's top running back prospects. With 4.4 speed, Lumpkin started his season with a bang last week by going for 153 yards and two touchdowns in a 47-14 win.

"I did alright," Lumpkin said. "I thought I played pretty well and obviously the team starting strong was very important."

Lumpkin, who has offers from nearly all of his current favorites, has been busy talking to college coaches from all over this week.

"Just the first day, coaches from Georgia, Miami, Auburn, and Michigan called," he said. "It's like the phone won't stop ringing."

The talented running back said he likes six schools the most at this point.

"I'm still looking at Georgia, Florida, Auburn, Miami, LSU, and Texas," he said. "I really don't have any favorites or anything like that. I just want to enjoy my senior season and hopefully take some visits before I have to make a decision."

Lumpkin, who doesn't have any visits scheduled, talked about the Hurricanes.

"Miami's awesome," he said. "They're ranked No. 1 and Miami's always been one of my top choices. They were one of the first to offer me and I'll probably use one of my visits to Miami."

Lumpkin plans on taking an unofficial visit to Gainesville this Saturday to watch two of his current favorites - Miami and Florida.
