DB Likes UM; Now Has 20 Offers

This standout running back/defensive back had an outstanding season opening performance and will likely have several more of them this season. With 20 scholarship offers in hand, his phone has been ringing off the hook because of college coaches this month. He talks about recruiting and where Miami is on his list plus what he likes about the Hurricanes in this interview.

Williamsport, Pa. standout running back/defensive back Darrell Blackman started his season with a bang. He had six touches in the season opener for 112 yards and scored on four of those carries. He also had one touchdown on defense via a fumble recovery.

At 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds, Blackman said he's been very busy the past nine days talking to college coaches from all over.

"I got several calls on the very first day they were allowed to call," Blackman said. "It's going pretty well right now. I now have 20 scholarship offers and I've started setting up some official visits. I'm going to N.C. State on December 6 and I'm in the process of setting one up to Maryland and Iowa. I'm also still looking at Boston College, Pittsburgh, and Miami."

The talented RB/DB talked more about the Hurricanes.

"They haven't offered me yet, but I think they're close," he said. "They said they liked my tape but probably want to see more. I liked the way they're playing right now. That's one of the schools I'm still interested in and might take a visit there."
