Recruit Loved UF Game; Will Visit

This standout prospect, who has over 40 scholarship offer including one from the Hurricanes, recently talked to Coach Kehoe about setting up an official visit to Miami. He watched the Miami/Florida game and offered his comments on that and why the Canes are high on his list.

At 6-foot-4 and 275 pounds, Greenwich, Conn. standout offensive lineman John Sullivan will begin his season this coming Friday.

"I've been waiting a long time for this," Sullivan told me. "We've done well in scrimmages against Wayne Hills and Poly Prep from Brooklyn, so we should be ready."

Speaking of Wayne Hills, that's the home of UM defensive end prospect Greg Olsen.

"Greg is a great player," he said. "Playing against them, you can see why he's being heavily recruited."

Sullivan is the same way.

"I've gotten a lot of calls since the first," he said. "Boston College, Michigan, Miami, Maryland, Syracuse, Virginia, Vanderbilt, Iowa, Notre Dame, there have been so many of them."

The standout offensive lineman said he's still considering among his top five choices at this point.

"It's still the same with that," he said. "I've already been to Notre Dame, Michigan, Boston College, and North Carolina," he said. "I haven't been to Miami yet but I watched them on TV against Florida."

The talented lineman said he enjoyed that performance.

"Miami is amazing," he said. "They are so good it's ridiculous. I really enjoyed watching them. They have a great program and when you play like that, it's not hard to impress a kid. At Miami, you see that every day in practice. I talked to Coach Kehoe and he basically asked about a visit and to see how everything was going. I'll probably visit Miami sometime in December."

Sullivan has not yet scheduled any official trips.

"We've started talking about that but I haven't set up anything official yet," he said. "I'd like to focus on that after the season."

Sullivan has scholarship offers from all of his current favorites.
