Reddick Suffers Torn ACL, Has Surgery

Junior safety Anthony Reddick underwent successful surgery today to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.

The surgery was performed by Dr. John Uribe at Doctors Hospital in Coral Gables. Reddick will begin rehabilitation immediately.

He was competing for the starting strong safety spot this spring with Lovon Ponder and played some cornerback.

Reddick has played in 18 career games making seven starts with 80 tackles, 1 sack, and 1 interception.

He suffered a torn ACL in his right knee in the first game of the 2005 season.

As a true freshman in 2004 he recorded 73 tackles.

He was looking to have a strong 2007 season to erase the memories of his suspenion following his actions in the FIU game.
