Dennis Raben gave Miami a 1-0 lead in the third inning with a home run to right field on an 0-2 inside fastball off of Stetson ace Corey Kluber.
"I'm feeling good, the ball has been getting out here at home," Raben said. "I think I have homered four or five games in a row here. I'm just seeing the ball good and getting some good pitches to hit."
Raben also pitched a scoreless eighth inning and has been told recently by coach Jim Morris that he is the team's setup guy right now.
"I feel good pitching. My arm felt better tonight than it has in the past few times out," said Raben, who has a 0.63 ERA in 14 1/3 innings this season. "I am looking forward to pitching in the FSU series and hopefully there will be some big situations for me."
Yonder Alonso hit a two-run home run in the third inning that tied the game at 3-3. It was Alonso's 12th of the year.
"It was a fastball, low and away and I just dropped my hands," Alonso said. "I didn't think it was going to go out. I thought it was going to be a gapper or something."
Kluber came into the game with an 8-0 record and a 1.80 ERA.
He gave up a season-high five earned runs against Miami and took his first loss.
"I wasn't very sharp," said Kluber, who threw 93 pitches. "I didn't have my best command and didn't hit my spots. I didn't have my best stuff tonight."
Manny Miguelez (1-2) picked up his first win of the season in his 10th start. Miguelez pitched seven innings, allowed three runs and six hits while striking out seven.
"Honestly we should have shut them out," Miami coach Jim Morris said in reference to all three Stetson runs scoring with two outs in the third inning. "We should have caught that ball that fell in for a hit. We pitched very well, played good defense, and got some timely hits."
