Cohen Wins NCAA Singles Championship

No. 1 seed Audra Cohen defeated No. 4 Lindsey Nelson of USC in straight sets (7-5, 6-2) to win the NCAA Womens Singles NCAA Championship.

Audra Cohen finished her season with a 42-2 singles record.

In defeating Nelson, Cohen avenged her 2006 loss to her in the Round of 16 when she lost 6-2, 5-7, 6-3.

Cohen is the first player in Miami Womens Tennis history to win a national title.

Cohen transferred to Miami after her freshman year at Northwestern. She is from Plantation, Fla.
