DL Waiting on UM Offer

This talented defensive lineman has gotten off to an excellent start this season and has already set up two official visits. Find out, by reading on, what he thinks about the Hurricanes and read why he favors Miami at this time.

At 6-foot-2 and 290 pounds, Sarasota, Fla. standout defensive tackle Donnell Livingston has helped his team get to a 1-1 start this season. In two games, Livingston has eight tackles, two sacks, and one caused fumble. He's doubling as an offensive guard.

Livingston, who will be taking the SAT later this month, said recruiting has picked up again this month.

"I've been getting a whole bunch of calls," he said. "I have talked to coaches from Nebraska, Florida State, Wisconsin, Maryland, North Carolina, UConn, and a few others. The only one I haven't talked with that I want to is Miami."

Livingston said he had a chance to watch a few college games so far this season and the best one, he says, was on Sept 7.

"I really like the Miami/Florida game," he said. "That was tight. I was nervous for awhile there but Miami pulled away. Their defensive line is just too strong."

The talented defensive lineman, who says he'll be at the UM/FSU game on October 12, said he's hoping Miami calls and offers.

"The last time I spoke to Coach Kehoe, he said they wanted to see how my senior season went and to see how well I do on my test," he said. "If Miami offers, that's where I'll go because they're my top school. They always produce great defensive linemen and I want to be a part of that."

Livingston said he's already scheduled two official visits.

"I have North Carolina for December 6 and Nebraska for December 13," he said. "Nebraska said they'll be offering me anyday now. North Carolina already has and a few more. I'll set up the rest of my visits later."
