Standout LB Likes UM

From a state that UM doesn't traditionally recruit, this talented linebacker appears to be the only prospect in that state being recruited by Miami right now. Read on to find out what he thinks of the Hurricanes.

At 6-foot-2 and 210 pounds, Hampton (Va.) Phoebus standout linebacker Xavier Adibi has helped his team to a 3-0 start this season by playing on both sides of the football.

"I have five touchdowns at fullback," Adibi said. "On defense, I know I have seven sacks. We're ranked No. 1 in the state right now so we're trying to stay focused."

Adibi, who said he will take the SAT for the first time on October 12, said he's being recruited by mostly everyone to play outside linebacker.

"Everyone except for N.C. State likes me as a linebacker," he said. "I've gotten a lot of calls in the last couple weeks - Pittsburgh, Indiana, Maryland, [Virginia] Tech, Clemson, and more."

Adibi was asked about his current favorites.

"I'm still looking at N.C. State, Maryland, Tech, Georgia, Tennessee, and Miami," he said. "I'm not sure on my visits yet because I'm trying to focus on the season first. I really couldn't say one or two schools stand above the rest because I like them all."

Adibi, who has offers from all of his favorites except Miami, talked about the Hurricanes.

"I know they talked to my coach recently," he said. "He said they just got my number so they should be calling sometime. I still like Miami. They have a great defense. Everytime I watch them, they look really good. Always. If they offer it, I'm going to take a trip down there."
