NJ Standout May Visit UM

One of the top prospects in the state of New Jersey, this talented player has scheduled four official visits and is considering Miami for his fifth. Read on to find out what he thinks of the Hurricanes and where they stand on his current list of favorites.

At 6-foot-2 and 215 pounds, Hackensack, N.J. standout linebacker Jermaine Dias has been playing both ways for his team's 2-1 start this season.

"I play tight end on offense and defensive end on defense," Dias said. "I dont know my stats in the third game but after the first two I had 20 tackles, six sacks, and two fumbles caused. We've played real good so far and hopefully we can keep it going."

Dias, whose 830 SAT score makes him a full academic qualifier, said he's at the point in the recruiting process of setting up some official visits.

"Since a lot of schools still call all the time, I'm trying to set up some official visits and narrow it down a little," he said. "I have four right now - North Carolina, the University of Virginia, Maryland, and Boston College. I haven't set up the last one yet. It might be Virginia Tech, Penn State, Miami, or a few others."

So what are the chances Dias makes a visit to UM?

"Miami's a good program," he said. "They've been real successful and have a lot of great players. I haven't heard from them much lately though. The only school in Florida that calls every week is Central Florida. If Miami offers it, I'll consider taking a trip there. Right now, all of my favorites are even."
