OL Enjoyed Game; Spoke with Kehoe

Just days after picking up another scholarship offer, this talented offensive line prospect attended the UM/FSU game this past weekend and he talked about what he liked most about it, as well as a conversation with UM coach Art Kehoe. Read on to find out where the Hurricanes stand and get his updated visit schedule and offer sheet.

At 6-foot-7 and 330 pounds, Lehigh Acres (Fla.) Lehigh standout offensive lineman Mario Henderson has been part of a 5-1 start this season. His team has a huge game against Estero and Derrick Morse this Friday.

"They say Derrick's coming back [from injury] this week so I'm really looking forward to it," he said. "We went to some of the same camps this summer and he's a great football player."

Henderson, who is currently waiting results on the SAT to come back, also discussed the recruiting process.

"Well, a lot of schools still call every week," he said. "And I got a new offer recently from N.C. State. I'll probably be taking a trip up there. For now, I have Clemson on January 10 and I'll also be visiting Wisconsin and Pittsburgh. The others are still open."

Henderson currently has scholarship offers from a host of schools, including Florida, Wisconsin, Pittsburgh, N.C. State, Louisville, Clemson, Central Florida, and South Florida.

"And I got a chance to go to the Miami/Florida State game last weekend," he said. "It was a lot of fun. I saw a real good game and the crowd was really, really, really loud. I didn't think it got that loud but I was wrong. I saw some other guys like Andrew Bain and Cyrim Wimbs from Ely. I had to joke around with them a little bit. And I saw Coach Kehoe. He asked me if I was having fun and I was like 'are you kidding, of course I'm having fun.'"

So where do the Hurricanes fit in among Henderson's favorites?

"Miami hasn't offered me but I'm still considering them," he said. "I like them, Florida, Wisconsin, Clemson, Pittsburgh, and NC State."
