Phillips among three 'Canes named to All-ACC

Today, Kenny Phillips was named to All-ACC First Team.

In a press release today by the Atlantic Coast Conference, Miami Hurricane safety Kenny Phillips was voted to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference First Team by the members of the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association.

Phillips, a third year junior recorded 95 tackles (69 solo), 6.5 of which were for a loss, two interceptions, and three forced fumbles on the season. In 2006, Phillips was named to the All-ACC Second Team.

Derrick Morse was awarded with an All-ACC second team nomination at offensive line. Morse, by all accounts was the brightest spot on a much improved offensive line had his most productive season as a collegiate.

Fourth year junior Calais Campbell was named an honorable mention choice by the media. He had 50 tackles, 12.5 for a loss, and six sacks. He was an All-ACC First Team selection in the 2007 season.
