Catching up with Marcus Forston

Marcus Forston has not lost a high school game since his sophomore season. That loss came to this week's playoff opponent Deerfield Beach high school.

"We are in the state semifinals," said Forston. "We play Deerfield this week. We are a different team than two years ago. This game is personal."

The 6-foot-2 290 pound Defensive tackle leads the Bulls in sacks for the second year in a row despite getting double teamed often.

"I have 13 sacks this year. I also caught a touchdown pass this year."

He leads a Northwestern defense that only gives up 50 rushing yards and 9.9 points per game.

"I come off the ball well," said Forston. "I am very explosive and fast."

Forston said coaches have already started making their in home visits although Miami has not scheduled theirs yet.

"I have had home visits from North Carolina , Tennessee , and Florida so far. The visits went fine."

Forston is one of six Miami Northwestern players committed to Miami .

"It is a good thing I have teammates going to Miami also. It made the decision easier."

The 5 star recruit has a chance to play early for the Hurricanes.

"I am committed to Miami ," said Forston. "I am graduating early to be there for spring. I want to play as a freshman."

Forston has a 3.5 GPA and is taking online courses to graduate early.
