Super WR Sets UM Visit

One of the top wide receiver prospects in the entire country, this talented prospect has scheduled an official visit to Miami. He talks about what he likes most about Miami, where the Hurricanes rank on his list, and one other factor that is helping Miami.

At 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds, Tampa (Fla.) Jefferson standout wide receiver had over 200 yards of total offense in a big road win last Friday against Ed White, pushing the team's record to 6-1.

"We've really been playing well ever since the loss to Armwood," Caldwell said. "Our defense still needs to play better but we're looking good with the playoff situation."

Caldwell, who just recently took the SAT for the first time, talked about the recruiting process.

"That stuff's going pretty good," he said. "I'm trying to focus more on our season, but I have three trips set up. I'm going to Miami, Oklahoma, and Florida State. I have them set, but I can't even remember the dates for them. For my other two, I haven't decided yet. I'm also looking at Florida, LSU, Tennessee, and Southern Cal."

Caldwell said he's been to one college football game this season, but plans to watch some more.

"The only one I've had a chance to attend is Florida against Miami," he said. "It was a good game that Miami pulled away from late. They were the better team that day. I'm also trying to get to the Florida State/Florida game later in the season."

Caldwell was asked about a possible favorite.

"Not really," he said. "But I really like Miami, Florida State, and Oklahoma. FSU has a lot of tradition. Oklahoma knows how to win and they really spread the ball around. And of course, Miami's Miami. They're the No. 1 team in the nation and they have a lot of receivers leaving over the next year or so. I think I could play early."

Caldwell said another thing working in Miami's favor is a phone call he recently received from another prospect.

"Kyle Wright's supposed to be the best quarterback in the whole country," he said. "He actually called me recently. He basically said that he picked Miami because he felt it was the best place for him and he's trying to get me to come with him. It was good to hear from him."
