"I'd like thank God for blessing me with all the opportunities I will have," Brown started. "I'll be attending the University of Miami. It was all gonna come down to how I feel. I met with a lot of players and coaches had a had a real good connection with them. That's what it's all about."
Brown was offered very early in the process by Miami. His primary recruiter was linebackers coach Micheal Barrow, who deserves big time props for being able to convince the nation's top player to come to Miami in just his first year as a college coach. While Brown took summer visits to many other programs, he didn't make it down to Miami. Instead, he and his brother (the family couldn't attend because of a death in the family that week) came to Miami for Artur's official visit on December 1. Barrow and Shannon then made their final pitch to Brown with an in-home visit on December 9.
