Florida 4-star talks recruiting

Marcus Robinson is one of the top linebacker prospects in the state of Florida this year and the Homestead High standout talked to Scout.com about the latest.

"I didn't end up going on that visit to Florida last weekend," Marcus Robinson said. "Doc Holliday left and he was the one recruiting me. After he left, I never heard from them."

Robinson will take his visit to Miami this weekend.

"I go to Miami Friday," he said. "I'm going with my mom and dad. The main thing I'll be looking at is the academic part. Plus, I'll get to meet some other recruits there."

Robinson, 6-foot-2 and 220 pounds, has already taken visits to Florida State, LSU, and Southern Cal. He talked about his status with those three schools.

"Florida State, I went up to hang out with my boy (Maurice Harris)," he said. "Chuck Amato actually came to the school to see me today. I'm still looking at USC a little. LSU, I really don't talk to them much."

The talented linebacker prospect, who had 21 sacks as a senior this past season, said he may take one last visit on Feb 1.

"I'll probably go to South Florida," he said. "I'm not sure yet though."

So with all these visits, where does Robinson stand with his commitment to Miami?

"Really, I'm not seriously considering anyone else," he said. "Miami's where I'm going. I have a real good relationship with Coach Barrow. I'll have a chance to get on the field right away. Will or sam, it doesn't matter. I just wanna play."

Robinson carries a 3.0 GPA inside the classroom and scored a 19 on the ACT.
