Standout CB Names Favorites

This talented cornerback prospect names his current favorites and talks about why Miami appears to be on the outside looking in on his list.

At 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds, Daytona Beach (Fla.) Seabreeze standout Kenny Scott is having an excellent season on both sides of the ball this year.

He has 890 yards rushing and 14 touchdowns through eight games and has 31 tackles and two interceptions on defense. In addition, he has returned a kickoff for a touchdown. Inside the classroom, he's fully qualified with a 1,000 SAT score.

He talked about the recruiting process.

"I'm still looking at Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Miami, Tennessee, Notre Dame, and North Carolina," Scott said. "I'm trying to get things set up for visits. I have Tennessee for January 10 and I also told Florida State and Notre Dame that I'll be visiting them. The last two are still up in the air."

The talented cornerback was asked about the Hurricanes.

"They in it a little," he said. "But without an offer, I'm not really putting too much stock into them. I've talked to their coach every couple weeks."

Scott, who said it's unlikely that he'll take a visit to UM, also talked about Miami's season.

"They're having a good year again but they might get hosed out of the BCS again," he said. "Unless they win big against Virginia Tech, they might. But the way they can't stop the run, it'll be all she wrote with Suggs and Jones."

Scott has a teammate named Xavier Lee, who will be one of the state's top quarterback prospects next season.

"Xavier likes Miami a lot," he said. "He talks about Miami a lot. He went down to a game earlier this season, I think it was UConn, and really liked it."
