Laron Byrd -- A standout performer at Miami's summer camp back in June, Byrd landed an offer from the Canes last week and visited here over the weekend. He's also been on visits to Auburn, Tulane, Mississippi State, and Nebraska. He told CanesTime.com in mid-January that if the Canes offered him, it would be tough for him to turn it down. That's why we believe he will definitely ink with the Canes on Wednesday.
Martavious Odoms -- The MVP of the state all-star game, Odoms took official visits to Auburn, Michigan, and South Florida. He told CanesTime.com on Sunday night that he plans on signing with Miami on a track scholarship. Since most people aren't familiar with how track scholarships work in regards to football, let me explain. If a track athlete plays in an actual football game, his scholarship will immediately get switched over to football. Santana Moss actually started his Miami career on a track scholarship. Because of this, you won't see his name on the official signing list on Wednesday. In fact, Odoms plans on making it official a week or so after signing day.
Tommy Streeter -- Streeter's father told CanesTime.com on Sunday evening that his entire family was going to sit down Sunday night and come up with a final decision. The finalists were the five schools who got official visits -- Miami, South Carolina, South Florida, Oregon, and Boston College. He's been very difficult to get a read on this whole year because he did a great job of keeping his thoughts on the process to himself. Going into Monday morning, it's not known whether he'll announce on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. We believe the Canes have as good a shot as anyone.
Kendal Thompkins -- Thompkins decided to take a last-minute surprise visit to Nebraska after not taking an official visit to Miami. He told Scout.com that he'll make his final decision on Wednesday and we would not be at all surprised if he's not part of this class -- especially if the Canes land both Streeter and Byrd.
Benjamin Jones -- One of the most crucial recruits left on the board for the Hurricanes because of the need for offensive tackles, Jones took his visit over the weekend and has narrowed his list down to Miami and Clemson. He is scheduled to announce on Wednesday and we'd be very surprised if he picked the Tigers.
Gavin Hardin -- After being a soft commitment to Ole Miss for most of the year, Hardin backed off that commitment when his recruiting coach there was let go as part of the previous coaching staff. That's when Miami entered into the picture again and after a great weekend visit here a few weeks ago Hardin began saying it's 50/50 between the Canes and Rebels, where he visited this past weekend. We believe he'll ink with the Canes on Wednesday, as Hardin told CanesTime.com soon after his visit here that he had already made up his mind.
Corey Liuget -- A very talented local player on the defensive line, Liuget made a soft commitment to Illinois during the middle part of the season. He visited them, Florida State, LSU, Rutgers, and South Florida. He never even took an official visit to Miami and hasn't mentioned taking an unofficial visit lately so those are two of the main reasons why we believe he's a longshot to sign with Miami on Wednesday.
Ramon Buchanan -- One of the state's top linebacker prospects, Buchanan made a soft commitment to Miami over the summer before switching to Florida earlier this month after an official visit to Gainesville. He visited Miami over the weekend but hasn't done any interviews with the media so it's difficult to tell where the Canes stand with him. We'll all know on Wednesday morning when he announes his final decision.
T.J. Bryant -- The four-star cornerback prospect took all five official visits (Miami, Florida, LSU, Alabama, and USC) and one unofficial (FSU). He hasn't done a single interview with the media all year so it's been extremely hard to get a read on him. Because of that and since he comes from a school who always sends its nationally-recruited players to FSU, we believe he'll pick the Noles on Wednesday.
Herman Davidson -- After his teammate (Vaughn Telemaque) committed to the Canes last week, many believed Davidson would soon follow. However, with commitments from four other safety prospects already, there doesn't appear to be room for another scholarship safety. Because of that, we expect him to sign with North Carolina on Wednesday.
Brandon Harris -- The five-star cornerback completed his visit schedule this past weekend by going to UCF (he had previously visited Miami, Florida, LSU, and Ohio State). Harris is scheduled to announce his decision on Wednesday at around 1 pm. We expect him to pick the hometown Hurricanes.
