Injury Update

The University of Miami begins spring practice on Tuesday of next week and has the latest injury report. Read on to see who will be out.

Randy Shannon said the Hurricanes are a healthy football team for the most part heading into spring football, which begins next week. There are some guys who won't participate in spring, however.

"Guys who are definitely out are Romeo Davis, Colin McCarthy, Courtney Harris, Orlando Franklin, Luqman Abdallah, Eric Houston, and Dwayne Hendricks."

In the meantime, the Canes are welcoming back several players who were injured at the end of the season.

"Everyone else is 100-percent ready to go," he said. "(Anthony) Reddick will be full go, (Antonio) Dixon will be full go, everyone else. (Robert) Marve and (Jermaine) McKenzie are good to go."

Jake Wieclaw, the kicker UM signed earlier this month, had a broken ankle towards the end of his senior season. Already enrolled at UM, he's now healthy as well.

"Wieclaw is working every three or four days kicking," he said. "Getting him in camp this early was good. He was a big time soccer player coming out of high school. We're excited about him."
