Canes hit the field for week number two

The University of Miami football team hit the practice field on Tuesday afternoon for the start of week number two of spring drills. CanesTime.com was there and has some news and notes to report.

-The Canes worked on goaline sets for the first time this spring.

-Demarcus Van Dyke, Khalil Jones, Bruce Johnson, and Graig Cooper all practiced for the first time this spring as their track season came to an end.

-Chavez Grant was the star of todays practice as he had 2 interceptions today.

-The Quarterbacks are no longer splitting reps equally. The players and Coach Shannon would not say how the snaps are being distributed.

-Glenn Cook has still not be granted his extra year of eligibility.

-Romeo Davis had his year granted a week ago and fully participated in practice today. He is medically cleared.

-The Canes also practiced punts today. Aldarius Johnson, DVD, Cooper, Ryan Hill, and Bruce Johnson were rorated in as return men.

-Josh Holmes is out for the spring and maybe even more.

-Robert Marve says his hand if fine after a week of Spring Practice.

-He said he hooked up with Hankerson for a long TD.

-Aldarius Johnson had another TD which brings his total this spring up to 4

-Cannon Smith has not thrown an interception this spring
