Quotes

Randy Shannon:

"We came out there and flew around a little bit. We were a little rusty, but you expect that after a week off."

"We have a competition at the end of every day. The offense ran today and the defense ran a couple of times last week. It is just to get them the feeling of losing and so they understand losing is not fun."

"The freshmen we targeted are different. They are guys we targeted are guys we thought that could help right away. The toughest thing for them is the physical part and is not the mental part. The break really helped them. They are rested and excited and ready to get going.

"The quarterbacks are doing a whole lot better than we what thought. They are completing a lot of passes. They are doing well with the short game and long balls. They are also doing a good job of checking off when they see a blitz."
