At 6-foot-3 and 290 pounds, Linwood (N.J.) Mainland standout offensive lineman John Rochford has helped his team to a 6-1 record this season.
"We've been playing well," he said. "We've won every game since our battle with Wayne Hills and I think I've been doing really good. Hopefully we can keep winning."
Rochford, a full academic qualifier, said he wanted to attend the Rutgers/Miami game on Saturday but was unable.
"I couldn't make it," he said. "I really wanted to get a chance to watch Miami play in person. That would have been cool. I did watch it though and it had me nervous at halftime. A win's a win but I'm hoping they play better against Tennessee, Virginia Tech, and teams like that. I still like their chances of going all the way."
Rochford said he continues to receive weekly calls from Miami.
"I still talk to Coach Kehoe and Coach Mark," he said. "Coach Coker called a few times. Basically, we just talk about how school's going, how my game went, and how their game went. I'm going to be setting up my visit there for sometime in December."
The last time I spoke to him, Rochford said there were other schools still calling and trying to get a visit.
"That doesn't happen as much now," he said. "Everyone knows that I'm fully committed to Miami and I have no interest in going anywhere else. I'm a Hurricane."
Standout OL To Visit in Dec.
