A: "Just go out there and try to play mistake free football. I want to run an effective offense and try to put up some points."
Q: What's it like to be competing against two other quarterbacks who are so well known locally?
A: "It's good. It's something that I expect. This is the University of Miami . They try to recruit the best players they can so we can be competing for a national championship. It's a lot of fun."
Q: Jacory is well known in Miami and Robert has been here a year. How do you not feel like the odd man out in the group?
A: "At times you can but you can't let that affect you. This is where I wanted to come. I wanted to come play football here at the University of Miami and that's what I'm doing. I'm just going to come out here and work hard every day. I can't let stuff like that affect me too much."
Q: After three weeks, do you feel the three quarterbacks are still at the same level?
A: "Yes I do. I think all of us are picking it up well. There might be times where one of us steps up and plays a little bit better than the others but overall I think we've been doing a great job. We're making completions and running the offense pretty well so I'm happy with it."
Q: Do you think Robert is a step ahead because he has been here a year more than you and Jacory?
A: "Yeah, he was a little bit more comfortable I think. Me and Jacory had to come in here and get our footing but I think once we got our feet wet, we've done pretty well since. I think all of us have to try to help each other out everyday. I think we've got to look at it more a s a team thing than trying to beat each other out. We're all happy when another one does well and look after each other."
Q: Are you a bit disappointed to see spring ball end?
A: "I am. Spring practice is tough but at the same time it's a lot of fun to get out here and play. It gets a little monotonous just being in the weight room. That's really the grind right there. The weight room and the summer running and conditioning. Out here, this is fun. We're playing football."
Q: How important is it for someone to have a great performance at the spring game?
A: "We've still got a long way to go. It's got importance but we've got a long way to go until the opening game. I think we're going to try and not put too much pressure on the situation and just play ball."
Q: How do crowds change things?
A: "With this team, I think the crowd gets everybody a little more hyped up. Everybody just wants to go out there and show out and have a good time. I think it's a positive."
Q: With three guys in the mix how do you keep yourself from worrying about reps?
A: "It'll cross your mind from time to time. You can't let that stuff affect you because it's stuff we can't control. When we get in, we've got to make the most of our opportunities."
Q: Do you feel like you have to prove yourself more than the other two QBs?
A: "At times maybe. I think we've all got some proving to do. We've never taken a college snap. The bullets haven't really been flying yet."
