At 6-foot-5 and 290 pounds, Green Cove Spring (Fla.) Clay County standout offensive lineman Luke Lathan will likely play his final high school game on Friday.
"It looks like that'll be it," he said. "It was a lot of fun. We lost a close game in overtime to St. Augustine that would helped but I had a good year."
Lathan, a full academic qualifier, said recruiting has been going well.
"My offers right now are Wake Forest, Maryland, Georgia Tech, South Carolina, and N.C. State," he said. "I have N.C. State set for a visit for the Florida State game. Then I go to Maryland on January 10 and South Carolina is trying to get me for December 13. I'm trying to figure out who the last two will be."
Lathan said two in-state schools remain on his list, although both appear to be fading off.
"Florida says they're still interested in me," he said "but I think they're still behind with their recruiting stuff. I haven't heard much from Miami lately. They called me early in the season and I've gotten some letters from them since but they don't call much. I'll visit there if I'm offered one but I don't know what's going on with Miami right now."
