James Commits to Miami

The Miami Hurricanes added a second runningback commitment to their class of 2009 commitment list today. Three-star back Mike James, from Ridge Community High School in Davenport, FL, pulled the trigger and committed to the Hurricanes. Read on to see what he's saying.

Mike James committed to the Hurricanes' coaches today via phone.

"I just committed 15-20 minutes ago," James said. "I called up Coach Hurtt and told him I was ready to be a 'Cane. He welcomed me to the family."

James is the eighth player to commit to the Hurricanes. He talked a little bit about what he brings to the table as a player and how the class of 2009 is shaping up.

"It's going to be a good class, a great class. We're going to get Miami back on track. I'm going to bring a winning attitude back to Miami."

James reports that he is fully qualified. He is unsure about whether or not he will take any visits.
