At 5-foot-9 and 175 pounds, Daytona Beach (Fla.) Mainland standout cornerback A.J. Brant has helped his team reach the third round of the state playoffs for the third straight season.
Brant has 42 tackles and four interceptions this season.
A full academic qualifier, Brant talked about the recruiting process.
"It's been going alright," Brant said. "It can get kind of hectic at times with all the calls but I'm trying to put it off until after the season."
The standout defensive back said three schools top his current list.
"The three I'm mainly looking at are Georgia, N.C. State, and Iowa," he said. "They still call all the time. I used to want to stay in-state but the big schools here haven't been calling me lately."
One of the schools Brant was hearing from early on this season was Miami.
"I guess I dropped off their list because I haven't heard from them in almost two months."
Brant said he plans on setting up official visits sometime within the next two weeks.
