Cooper 'attacks' with two scores in opener

Hurricanes RB Graig Cooper started the season off right with two scores with one coming on a 66 yard punt return that highlighted the Hurricanes 52-7 win over Charleston Southern in the team's opener. Read on for see what he had to say.

What are the differences between playing at Dolphins Stadium and playing at the Orange Bowl?
The dirt. The dirt on the field and how hard it hurts when you fall on it.

On his punt return…
I just saw all of my team mates hustling. My coaches told me to attack once and get past the first wave and everything will open up and once you pass the third wave you'll go all the way. I saw the rest of my team blocking downfield and I scored.

On taking this season "personal"…
When I take it personal, I know all of my team mates do too. All of us went out there and played well and executed and we did a good job and put the game away.

On the freshmen…
I am not surprised. They were doing good all summer and they just came out and played on special teams so they know what it feels like, that the game is a little faster. I am real proud of the young guys.
